Membership

Any person who has not chosen another County association as his or her county of primary allegiance is eligible to become a member.  If you are a member of the EBU whose subscription is paid through another County you may join as a "dual" member .

P2P  Charge and Subscriptions for 2010/11

Members will be aware that, as from April 2010, there will no longer be an annual membership subscription payable to the EBU, and there will be no individual County membership subscription.  Instead there will be a Pay to Play (P2P) amount payable to the EBU by the Club for every player taking part in a duplicate bridge session at any Affiliated Club.  For Clubs affiliated to Berks and Bucks this amount will be 35p per person per session.  Of this amount 29p will be retained by the EBU and 6p returned to the County Association (to replace the annual County subscription).

EBU Members will still be able to nominate a county of prime allegiance.   Those whose prime allegiance is not to Berks & Bucks may, as previously, join the Association as dual members by paying a subscription.

Affiliated Clubs will still pay an annual subscription to the EBU and to the County, and Clubs affiliated to other counties may join as dual clubs.

The Association “Pay to Play” charge and annual subscriptions for the Financial Year commencing on 1st April 2010 as approved by the Committee are as follows:

AGM and Prizegiving

The B&BCBA AGM starts during the tea interval (not before 5:15pm) of the Swiss Teams event for Swiss Teams in June. Although most prizes for the year are presented at the events to which they relate, there are a number of prizes to which this does not apply and these are presented at the end of the AGM.
